The existence of planetary systems around pulsars, in particular PSR 1257+12 and PSR 1620-26, is not completely comprehensible within the standard picture that considers pulsars as a consequence of supernova explosions. However, it is possible to look for alternative scenarios in which planetary systems around pulsars may form and evolve.
