The purpose of this article is to stimulate reflection on the papal bull Apostolici Regiminis, promulgated by Pope Leo X on December 19, 1513, during the Fifth Lateran Council. The content of the papal bull is presented in its original language, and its impact, particularly on the philosophers of the time as well as on society at large, is examined. A particular focus is also observed on the notion of the immortality of the soul.
