Focusing on the Odin Teatret performance Brecht's Ashes 2 (1982), the first part of the paper intends to examine the scenic space design in relation with the dramaturgical aspects and the spectator perception. In particular, the essay investigates the dynamics expressed by the Odin Teatret director, the Italian Eugenio Barba, regarding the founding concept of the river-space which identifies an important trajectory in the context of further codes of scenic writing. In the second part, the contribution points out the scenic space graphic representation as a trace of the performative events and part of the performing arts cultural heritage. The investigated case study highlights the remediation of the scenic space by identifying the drawing as the result of a direct observation; in this sense, the drawing is transformed into a dynamic element capable of transmitting knowledge from a trace testifying to a space that no longer exists.

Abstract
Focusing on the Odin Teatret performance Brecht's Ashes 2 (1982), the first part of the paper intends to examine the scenic space design in relation with the dramaturgical aspects and the spectator perception. In particular, the essay investigates the dynamics expressed by the Odin Teatret director, the Italian Eugenio Barba, regarding the founding concept of the river-space which identifies an important trajectory in the context of further codes of scenic writing. In the second part, the contribution points out the scenic space graphic representation as a trace of the performative events and part of the performing arts cultural heritage. The investigated case study highlights the remediation of the scenic space by identifying the drawing as the result of a direct observation; in this sense, the drawing is transformed into a dynamic element capable of transmitting knowledge from a trace testifying to a space that no longer exists.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
