At the foundation of a study of cities lies a dialectic to be addressed and investigated in an interdisciplinary manner, between physical spaces and places of interactions with radical experiences of the human. In this essay, the intention is to highlight the foundational value of philosophy necessary to set up a thorough phenomenology of existential categories that constitute urban space. The operational proposal is that of a syllabus to serve as a starting point for educational planning, aiming to guide the student in reclaiming the times and spaces of living.
