Rebus enim novis nova fingenda sunt nomina: esegesi, rinnovamento e dialogo nel cristianesimo dei primi secoli

In the contribution, attention is focused on the need of early Christian writers to use new words in order to explain Holy Scriptures or to expose new concepts, according to the doctrinal perspective. Texts and interpretations have been placed in the cultural context, where authors, specifically Jerome, Tertullian and Origen, were active. In this way, it is possible to understand the double dialog that on one hand involves authors and their sources, and on the other hand links or opposes them to their direct or indirect addressees.
