Vibration measurement is a subject of great interest, especially for industrial applications. In general, vibrations indicate the dynamic behavior of machines. This paper reviews the current state of the art of different techniques and describes in detail vibrations signal processing for electrical asynchronous motors and procedures for extracting characteristics from them. The experimental results presented demonstrate the capability of the spectral analysis in asynchronous motors fault detection.
