NiCl2, 4 mmoles PPh3, and 3 mmoles Zn dust in 10 mL THF was stirred at room temp. under CO 3 h to give 70% Ni(CO)2(PPh3)2. Similarly prepd. were Ni(C2H4)(PPh3)2, Pd(PPh3)3, Pt(PPh3)3, and Pt(CO)2(PPh3)2.

Abstract
