The kinetics of the reversible reaction [Ir(CO)(dp)2]Cl ↹ [Ir(dp)2]Cl + CO (dp = Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) was studied in 1-pentanol by the temp.-jump relaxation technique at various temps. The kinetic data agree with those obtained previously by S. and V. (1976) using the stopped flow method, but differ markedly from those found by R. D'Agostino et al. (1972, 1975, 1977) who used reactors of defined fluid dynamics. The present kinetic data suggest that the method and the kinetic equations used by the latter investigators lead to erroneous results. The causes of the obsd. discrepancies are examd. and discussed.

Abstract
The causes of the obsd. discrepancies are examd. and discussed.File in questo prodotto:
