The MiX2L2 (X = Cl, Br; L = PMe3, PEt3, PBut3, P(i-Pr)3, PMe2Ph, PEt2Ph) aq.-alc. solns., catalyze the water gas shift reaction (W.G.S.R.) under CO at atm. pressure and temps. >90°. The catalysis is accomplished through the following main reactions: NiX2L2 + 3CO + H2O → Ni(CO)2L2 + 2HX + CO2; Ni(CO)2L2 + 2HX → NiX2L2 + H2, which can also be carried out sep. The catalytic activity decreases slowly in time according the sequence: PR3 < PR2Ph < PRPh2. Metallic Ni and phosphine are found in the deactivated solns. On the most active and lasting NiX2-PMe3 systems (X = Cl, Br), the influence of some parameters on the rate of the catalysis was studied.

Abstract
On the most active and lasting NiX2-PMe3 systems (X = Cl, Br), the influence of some parameters on the rate of the catalysis was studied.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
