Artemia urmiana has been recorded for the first time out of its nominal site (lake Urmia, Iran), in European territory (the Crimean peninsula, Ukraine). The species identification has been carried out on the basis of morphomnetry, SEM, molecular biology, with a multidisciplinary approach.
