The green seaweed Cladophora prolifera (Roth.) Kutzing, a proposed bioremediation organism for aquaculture waste treatment, was tested in a field experiment as fertilizer. After reducing algal biomass to powder, a field experiment with the Lycopersicon esculetum (Miller) model system was conducted, revealing positive growth of treated plants. Two different percentages were tested, 10% and 5%, of which, the second one gave best result.
