The paper presents the results of research on the old names of places used in the municipality of Soleto, a town belonging to Grecìa Salentina, the Greek-speaking area of Apulia in Southern Italy. The names are collected from the voices of the elderly residents, analyzed and explained. Additionally, the paper explores written sources such as archives and maps that can be utilized to recover the names of places.
