In this essay, an attempt is made to outline a coherent line of historical-philosophical development of the concept of limit as it appears in the monographic issue, which is the fourth year of the «Annali del Centro Studi Filosofici di Gallarate». It consists of two issues that collect the articles elaborated from the papers presented at the LXXVIII Conference of the Centro Studi Filosofici di Gallarate, which focused on the theme “The Limits and beyond”.
