The aim of this article is to examine the category of atelic imperfetive verbs and the lexical aspetcts of verbs used to form related perfective verbs with different semantic meanings. In particular, the beginning, the limiting, the longlasting-restrictive and restrictive-terminative lexical aspects will be analysed, as they are the most common amongst the verbs, forming the vocabulary of foreign students learning Russian as a foreign language at A1-B1 level. In the framework of this study a table having a function of practical application in the process of teaching of the grammatical topic of verb aspect in Russian will be developed.
