Nell'eredità dei grandi Maestri: una quarta generazione di studi Merleau-Pontyani

The reception of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, who died suddenly in 1961, has been conditioned by a very specific editorial choice, that of publishing sufficiently complete manuscripts. this editorial choice, to publish organically structured manuscripts, has come at the loss of other scattered folios, containing much more original and interdisciplinary themes, forgotten in archival. Even today, hundreds of manuscript folios, some of them unpublished, remain at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, catalogued in XXI Volumes. In the present work, it was intended to identify the “generations” of interpreters of the phenomenologist’s thought and to detect the characteristics of the lines of research indicated by them over the years. Asserting that all critical works are indispensable for understanding the unfinished project Être de monde, the French phenomenologist’s final enterprise.
