The object of this contribution is a legal record from the Salento region, a rare example of its genre, at least in Apulia: it reports charges of several offences (against public powers, against persons or properties) committed in the town of Nardò (in the province of Lecce) towards the end of the 15th century. Particular attention will be devoted to the charges involving women, either as accusers, as defendants or merely as witnesses.
