A ±45° dual-polarized dipole antenna is presented. It is based on two multi-slotted ±45° cross pair antennas in a single arrangement that covers two sub-6 GHz bands (3.5-4.25 GHz and 4.8-5.1 GHz) with S11, S22 < -10 dB, separately. The antenna has four substrates in total i.e. one radiator, one reflector and two feeding baluns. The antenna is optimized and simulated with the ANSYS 18.2 HFSS tool and fabricated for prototype results. It exhibits 8.55 dBi realized gain with 70° HPBW (half-power beam-width). The dual-polarized stable radiation pattern with broad impedance bandwidth makes the proposed solution a good candidate for 5G sub-6 GHz wireless applications. The antenna is also tested for a realistic environment to demonstrate its appropriateness in applications.
