The contribution proposes an investigation of the Greek testimonies, especially epigraphic ones, attesting to musical and literary competitions reserved for children, which are analyzed on the basis of type, diffusion, and possible distinction by age group. The research aims to highlight the peculiarities of this phenomenon compared to those which characterized competitive sports, which were more widely spread and more frequently studied.
