Covid-19 and the consequent Distance Didactic in Emergency (DDiE) in the Schools have made it clear that the question of digital and the world wide web are a dimension of thought, rather than technological. Just as methodology based on face to face activity is not salvific in itself, compared to learning, digital cannot be the only emergency solution. Some research has highlighted the criticalities of both digital training and digital organization: what is emerging is the lack of “thought” that can lead “the” and “to” digital. As a italian school institution – which should respond (and be placed in condition to) the Constitutional dictates – it is not enough for its main actors to understand the methodological differences involved between learning in the presence context and learning with digital and online environment. The school in the digital age should be an existential project for every student.
