One of the most promising technologies of the last century that has already revolutionized every aspect of people lives is the IoT. In fact, its capacity of monitoring, sharing information and consequently acting to mitigate problems or enhance specific situations, has attracted the attention of different practitioners and experts of different domains. Nonetheless, during the last years, the research community has revealed some drawbacks that some new paradigms have started to solve. One of them is the Fog Computing that allows to move a part of the computation typically performed in the Cloud, nearer to the Edge and the physical devices. Due to the fast introduction of innovative solutions in such a field and with the aim of supporting the developments, different important Cloud Services have started to propose dedicated frameworks and services. However, to the best of our knowledge, none of them directly provide fog computing services, but only generic Edge related services. For this reason, the present paper discusses the main characteristics of two of the most spread IoT Public Services with the aim of demonstrating their applicability to the Fog Computing sector. Specifically, the work implements the infrastructure needed to support a designed fog computing running scenario and, by demonstrating the feasibility of the proposed architecture, discusses the main characteristics of the selected platforms.
