Abstract

In a world where people aim to achieve as most comfort as possible, new technologies have been developed in order to make their lives easier. Home automation is an area with many opportunities, which is emerging as a complement to the conventional use of electronic equipment like lighting accessories, air conditioning systems or even curtains, which allow a degree of independence by incorporating sensor equipment, aiming for efficiency and smart performance. A low-cost smart person detection system is presented, with the implementation of a PIR sensor and its connection through an app called Blynk, which allows the user to receive notifications every time the sensor detects presence.
