In this session, we would like to present an educational and philosophical analysis of Albert Camus thought, where we focalise on the theme of silence. We will draw a hermeneutic profile of the thematic tangles of Mediterranean area. In fact, from Camus writings it will arise how the landscape feeds culture and fuels thought, generates everything which shapes the life of an individual. It also produces the society, full of contradictions that must be accepted and solved imposing the Ego. He who cannot leave himself to his own devices, or to deceitfulness, or to moralisms, but he must establish himself, even in the absurdity, with an everyday rebellion and with an endless strength of the “will to power” to believe and love.
