Antonio De Ferrariis, known as Galateo, is a humanist of the fifteenth century quite renowned nationally both for being a member of the Pontanian Academy and for his work as a philologist engaged in the recovery of the Greek philosophical and literary tradition thanks to his direct knowledge of this language. In the fifteenth century, as is known, very few scholars can draw directly on the original texts of Greek philosophers and this makes their reading of ancient philosophers more valuable. This makes it interesting to deepen his adherence to the thought of Aristotle that he can read by drawing directly from the texts in the original language.

Abstract
Antonio De Ferrariis, known as Galateo, is a humanist of the fifteenth century quite renowned nationally both for being a member of the Pontanian Academy and for his work as a philologist engaged in the recovery of the Greek philosophical and literary tradition thanks to his direct knowledge of this language. In the fifteenth century, as is known, very few scholars can draw directly on the original texts of Greek philosophers and this makes their reading of ancient philosophers more valuable. This makes it interesting to deepen his adherence to the thought of Aristotle that he can read by drawing directly from the texts in the original language.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
