The Radio Frequency Identification technology is widely used in many sectors, such as logistics, anti- counterfeiting, healthcare, etc. Among these, the pharmaceutical supply chain represents a very important area, in which the use of this technology can provide many advantages from both the economic and the safety point of view. In particular, the use of the Ultra High Frequency band results the better choice in this context. The present work aims to investigate the possible effects that the use of radio frequency devices could produce on drugs and pharmaceuticals. For this purpose, an accurate test environment has been recreated and particular drugs were chosen to be tested. The results show that the proposed technology to be used in the pharmaceutical supply chain has not caused damage to medicinal products under observation.
