This paper aims to derive some constraints on technologies that should be used in order to enhance an harmonious co-evolution among technological platforms and organizational and inter-organizational models in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) transition toward e-business. These constraints are then applied to some current and emerging technologies, drawing a picture of the future scenario for SME technological frameworks.
