Abstract

TiO2 dot and rod shaped nanocrystals(NCs), prepared by an hydrolytic route and capped with different surfactant layer, were deposited as thin films. Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) was evaluated as transduction technique in order to test the sensing ability of the prepared films for alcohol vapours detection, as a function of NC shape, capping layer and thermal treatment.
