During the last decade, the majority of research on RC beam-column joints strengthening with FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) has been experimental, and considerably less research has been published on numerical modelling (e.g. finite element modelling) and analytical model-ling (e.g. strut and tie). In this paper, the results of a finite element (FE) investigation on RC connections strengthened with composites are discussed and compared with an analytical pro-cedure. Referring to an exterior beam-column joint, the behaviour of the un-strengthened connection and the strengthened models has been analysed, with several arrangements of ex-ternal reinforcement. In addition, the influence of main parameters affecting joint behaviour has been evaluated by results of a parametric analysis.

Abstract
In addition, the influence of main parameters affecting joint behaviour has been evaluated by results of a parametric analysis.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
