Abstract

The study of expanding plasmas produced by means of intense excimer laser beams was performed by a homemade electrostatic analyzer (EA) coupled with a Faraday cup (F). The EA was able to measure the ionization of Cu ions by the modification of the plasma ion flux owing to a potential barrier presence.
