In this note we make a review of some examples of hypercyclic C_0 semigroups that arise as solutions of some partial differential equations. Sufficient conditions for hypercyclicity based on the spectral properties of the infinitesimal generator of the semigroup are also discussed. Moreover, we present new results concerning hypercylcicity if semigroups generated by Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operators.
